We have chosen to adopt a small-footprint approach to give our children a clean and whole earth. Architecture at Molino dei Ciliegi was based on the latest green building techniques, with a large use of renewable energy sources: solar panels provide us with no-CO2 energy during the day, while hot water is constantly produced by thermo-solar panels, with little or no gas consumption. We wanted to preserve the memory of the ancient route to the watermill. The vegetable garden and the alfalfa field are organic and cultivated with no chemical pesticides or fertilisers. We try to use only eco-friendly detergents and soaps.
In 2017 Molino dei Ciliegi has been selected by Legambiente as an example of eco-friendly architecture.
Those flowers, those women, those smiles freshly colored by the life that the dawn made us a little earlier, that chorus of small things that reward us, cannot buy them the money.
